Our Story
Michele Bottiglieri Armatore s.p.a is a shipping company founded by Mr. Michele Bottiglieri in 2008.
The Founder is the fifth generation of a shipowner family who has started this job since 1850's.Following his family footsteps, Mr. Michele Bottiglieri has decided to continue operating in the shipping industry.
At the beginning of his career he spent about 15 years in Greece managing a fleet of 5/7 bulkcarriers all the time.
In 1993, he was a cofounder of a Italian shipping company named Bottiglieri di Navigazione s.p.a. Later it was renamed Rizzo Bottiglieri De Carlini S.p.a (RBD s.p.a).
In 2008, Mr. Michele Bottiglieri decided to pursue a career on his own leaving Rizzo Bottiglieri De Carlini s.p.a. In the meantime he founded the current company, Michele Bottiglieri Armatore s.p.a, based in Italy (Naples).
In 2009, Michele Bottiglieri Armatore s.p.a (MBA s.p.a) started its activity chartering several bulk carriers and buying 5 new vessels.
The current fleet consists of 1 Kamsarmax (Mba Future), and 2 Post Panamax (Mba Giovanni and Mba Rosaria).
