About the Role
As the Second-Grade Chief Engineer on our bulk carrier under the Italian flag, you will be a key member of the engineering team, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the vessel's machinery. You will work closely with the Director of Machinery and other team members to uphold the company's commitment to maritime excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Machinery in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all machinery on board the bulk carrier.
Lead and manage the engineering team, promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence.
Execute maintenance and repair tasks, troubleshoot machinery issues, and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities with overall vessel operations.
Conduct regular inspections and surveys of machinery and equipment, reporting and addressing issues in a timely manner.
Contribute to the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
Prepare and submit accurate reports, including machinery status reports and maintenance logs.

Requirements
Experience in rank on board Bulk Carrier vessels (panamax/post panamax)
Certificate of Competency recognized by Italian Flag
Valid two-years medical certificate
Knowledge of English language with "Marlins" attestation
Cyber Security certificate
Travel passport with residual validity of 18 months
Valid seamen’s book
Covid19 vaccine
Yellow fever vaccine
